Sunday morning on the hills

On Sunday 27th December thirteen Buckly Runners plus a dog met in the middle car park at Moel Famau for an unusual Sunday morning run.

The road up was officially closed (so the sign said) the car park was definitely closed (it was a sheet of ice) and that was a warning. Conditions on the main track were dodgy, so we decided to drop down through the forest to the lower track. After that it was a great run. Not exactly hard training with a mix of quicker and "value for money" runners, but very enjoyable. The horizontal ice crystals that hit us coming down from the summit were less than pleasant. But we got round and enjoyed ourselves. The tea and cheesecake and mince pies in the car park were all the better because of the difficult conditions.

A good event. Thanks to everyone for turning up.

Best wishes for twenty-ten..

Rob
